Understanding the Christian & Missionary Alliance Logo

The logo of the Christian & Missionary Alliance may be new to some of you so we want you to understand what it is and what each of the symbols stand for. We see it as the way to understand what is called the four-fold gospel. This is nothing new, it is just a brief look at what Jesus accomplished on the cross for us, and a look to our future with Him.

The cross reminds us of the salvation that is ours through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's only Son, and our only way to salvation.

The laver, or vessel, represents sanctification, which is a daily cleansing from sin by the power of the Holy Spirit living in us. It reminds us that the Lord wants to daily wash us so that we are clean in His presence.

The pitcher, is representative of the oil for a holy life and the physical healing that comes through our obedience to God's Word. Many times in the Word of God we see oil as symbolic of anointing, cleansing and healing.

The crown symbolizes the return of our Lord Jesus Christ as the King of kings and the Lord of lords. We long for the day when Jesus returns to rule over a new heaven and a new earth, and we live with Him eternally.
