ABOUT US
What started as a Bible Study in 1898 has continued to be
a witness for Christ in the Anderson community. As a church,
we have been through many changes in over 100 years of service
for our King. This website is another means for us to continue
to be an effective witness in our world. Think about it: 100
years ago communication was primarily over backyard fences, on
front porches and sitting the homes of extended families and
friends. Some of that is still done today, but it is our hope
and prayer that we can communicate the "good news"
globally through this site.
Because of our history, many in our congregation can remember
the "glory days" of the past and the workings of the
Holy Spirit with longing and affection. But all that we remember
points back to the Cross of Calvary, where Christ died for our
sins, and looks forward to the heavenly kingdom that Jesus is
preparing for us.
While we celebrate the past, we also concentrate on our future-to
the powerful, living, loving Savior, who desires to fill us with
His Holy Spirit. We are a group of people who have experienced
the ups and downs, the joys and the pains, and the confusion
of life. Now, we take the time to celebrate our salvation and
new life in Jesus. As we conform to the image of Christ, we find
hope, joy, blessing and God's perfect peace living through us.
This changes our attitudes, which in turn, affects our personal
lives, our families and community with the love of Jesus.
In this second 100 years, we desire to be a strong, Christ-centered
body of believers that are active in fulfilling the Great Commission
of Jesus. Our goal is simple-to make disciples and to dynamically
preach the truth of God's Word, Here, There and Everywhere!

We're a church in the
Christian & Missionary Alliance. We are a Bible - based,
mission focused movement, that began with a vision of sending
missionaries overseas. We were founded by A.B. Simpson in 1887.
Currently, the C&MA has about 350,000 believers and 2,000
churches in the USA. Overseas, the C&MA has more than 1,100
missionaries in
49 countries and churches in 66 countries and territories. For
